Game Start! Kamen Rider Ex-Aid!

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid (仮面ライダーエグゼイド Kamen Raidā Eguzeido) is a Japanese tokusatsu drama in Toei Company's Kamen Rider Series. It is the eighteenth series in the Heisei period run and the twenty-seventh series overall. The series started on October 2, 2016 after the last episode of Kamen Rider Ghost.

The motif of the series is retro video gaming, as the Riders of the show utilize game cartridges called Rider Gashats and have gear and form motifs inspired by retro video games. The series also integrates medical drama into the story as one of the main settings is a hospital and the some of the main Riders are doctors.

Emu Hojo (potrayed by Hiroki Iijima)

Emu Hojo (宝生 永夢 Hōjō Emu) is one of the main characters and the main protagonist of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. He is a trainee in pediatrics working at Seito University Hospital and a genius video gamer who goes by the alias M

He was given a Gamer Driver and the Mighty Action X Gashat by Asuna Karino to become Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. The first level of transformation shows Ex-Aid as a puny white Rider which is the Ex-Aid Level 1. Later on, by pulling the lever, he transformed into Ex-Aid Level 2 and become faster, quicker and more powerful.

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid has a weapon which is a Gashacon Breaker (ガシャコンブレーカー Gashakon Burēkā) is a hammer-like multiform weapon. The Gashacon Breaker has two basic modes. Ex-Aid can switch between its Hammer Mode (ハンマーモード Hanmā Mōdo) and Blade Mode (ブレードモード Burēdo Mōdo) by pressing the A-Button. The Gashacon Breaker's finisher is the Critical Finish (クリティカルフィニッシュ Kuritikaru Finisshu). To activate it, Ex-Aid must plug a Rider Gashat into the opposing flat side of the weapon.

The main villain in this series is a new type of virus, named the Bugster Virus, infected humanity and turning them into a creature called a Bugster. The Bugster virus is a variety of computer virus. Unlike most malware, the Bugster infects human beings, replicating until they take over their host's bodies, eventually causing the host to disappear and be completely taken over. The only way to treat the victim is to use the Gamer Driver to remove the Bugster from the host and destroy it before the virus completely takes over. The spread of the virus may be triggered by stress due to the associated weakening of the immune system.

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid's Gamer Driver is pretty much had the same concept as Fourze Driver. The middle part shows the picture of the rider and the Fourze Driver also uses lever to transform. The color scheme of Ex-Aid Level 1 is also the same as Fourze's. However, the Ex-Aid Level 2 had the same color scheme as Decade. The virtual plane had that classic retro game feel in it as Ex-Aid jump over the floating boxes, as Mario does, to gain power up. This is also might be the first time Riders have eyes on their helmets. Funny thing is, those eyes are pretty much the same as the SD Gundam Sengokuden's eyes. Over all, this series is pretty interesting and worth to watch.
